INFORMATION:

  • Lead Instructor(s): Chad Holderness

  • $100.00 per session/ $25 per class if pay as go

  • Each session consists of 5 classes meeting once a week.

  • Players will be grouped together based on age/skill level.

WHAT ATHLETES WILL WORK ON:

Stretching and Agility: Consist of quick high knees and butt kickers to improve fast twitch muscles and improve flexibility in your legs. Flexibility through your quads, hamstrings, and hips are all imperative in gaining speed.

Form Running: Many athletes run with bad form, causing themselves to constantly throw their weight in the wrong direction. To increase speed, you must stay in straight lines. This class will introduce numerous mechanical frills to improve your form. All players can benefit from this drill and see improvements that really make a difference.

Extension: Once you have peaked at top speed, extension will help you maintain and even pick up additional speed. We will be working with small hurdles encouraging players to reach up with their knows and extend over the hurdle using flexibility in the hamstrings. This will allow you to gain more ground, which is what you want to maximize your stride length.

This is a great opportunity for all athletes working to improve their speed, agility, and develop their physical fitness in preparation for their season.
